The Southern Championship on the 5th & 6th June at Portland promises to be a great re-introduction to our regional championship programme after last year’s enforced cancellations. Entries are building up and we urge everyone to make the most of it and to log on to the Entries page.
WPNSA will be emailing out to all competitors during the week leading up to the event with information about Covid the compliant arrangements they will have in place and we ask you to co-operate with these to help make the event run smoothly. There will also be the code to access WPNSA and further relevant information about arrival and general facilities.
Food and refreshment
The entry fee does not include meals or refreshment as there was too much uncertainty about what would be possible at the time when the NoR was posted. However, tickets for a Barbeque on the Saturday are now available to purchase from WPNSA at £16 per person. The barbeque menu is now on the Entries page. You can order tickets by calling WPNSA Reception on 01305 866000 and paying by card, ideally before Friday 4th June. Hopefully, the weather will be good to sit outside but there will be tables inside as well (6 persons per table). The bar will be open.
On the Sunday, Covid restrictions make it impracticable to offer the usual Prize giving tea but there will be an after-race snack to be collected when you tally back in on coming ashore. This is being funded by UKFFA.
The cafeteria will also be open throughout the event. There will be seating inside (max 6 persons per table) and outside.
